M1 and M2 Student Volunteers
As a first or second year student, you will be under the instruction of an M3 or M4 medical student during your day at the clinic. You will have the chance to be involved in hands-on care of each patient you encounter. ​​​​

A lottery system is used for M1/M2 volunteer sign-ups.

How to Sign Up:

Sign up for the lottery on the volunteer spreadsheet using the link sent by the Student Volunteer Coordinator on the Tuesday before clinic day.

On Wednesday evening, check your email and the volunteer spreadsheet to see if you have been randomly selected to volunteer or added to the waitlist.

Email the Student Volunteer Coordinator if you are no longer able to volunteer.

Students on the waitlist will be notified as spots open up.

Friday Free For All: On Friday evening, you can claim any last minute available spots on the volunteer spreadsheet.

M3 and M4 Student Volunteers
As a third or fourth year medical student, you will lead a medical team consisting of preclinical medical and pre health students.

Sign-up emails are sent by the Student Volunteer Coordinator the Tuesday before a clinic day.

Family Medicine Clerkship Volunteer Requirement:
This is a required portion of the M3 Family Medicine Clerkship. Please utilize the available M3/M4 sign-up page on GivePulse.​​​​

Outreach Volunteers
As an Outreach volunteer, you will provide health screenings at events in the Jackson Metro area and rural communities.
​
Outreach events are open to students from the School of Medicine, School of Dentistry, School of Pharmacy, School of Health Related Professions, School of Nursing, School of Population Health, and School of Graduate Studies.

Social Health Clinic Volunteers
As a Social Health Clinic volunteer, you will screen interested patients at clinic for social determinants of health and then discuss community resources that can address these social barriers.
​
Social Health Clinic is open to students from the School of Medicine, School of Dentistry, School of Pharmacy, School of Health Related Professions, School of Nursing, School of Population Health, and School of Graduate Studies.
